Located in North Branch, Michigan, The Legacy Barn was born from a long-standing dream to create a distinctive wedding venue that combines rustic beauty with modern comfort. After attending their daughter’s wedding at a scenic ranch in Idaho in 2021, the owners were inspired to bring a similar experience to Mid-Michigan by building a full-log wedding barn unlike anything else in the area. Backed by nearly three decades of experience through their family business, Michigan Log and Timber, the team infused their passion for handcrafted timber construction, reclaimed barnwood, and rustic architecture into every detail of the venue. Opening its doors for its first wedding in July 2024, The Legacy Barn has quickly become a sought-after destination for couples looking for a warm, elegant, and unforgettable setting for their special day.

Designed to accommodate both large celebrations and intimate gatherings, The Legacy Barn offers a fully climate-controlled venue with seating for up to 250 guests. Couples can choose between two outdoor ceremony locations with scenic natural backdrops or host their ceremony indoors within the expansive reception hall. The venue also features a spacious bridal suite, groom’s room, catering kitchen, full bar area, and a dedicated décor room to help simplify setup and wedding-day preparations. Architecturally, the barn stands out for its striking full-log construction, massive exposed timber beams, and handcrafted details that create a dramatic yet welcoming atmosphere. The versatile layout allows couples to personalize the space while enjoying modern amenities rarely found in traditional barn venues.
