Our Story
From Scratch was founded in 2016 to meet a clear need in Michigan’s food and events landscape: high-quality, on-site catering delivered with impeccable service. Recognizing this opportunity, our leadership brought together a team of top industry professionals, each committed to elevating how catering, hospitality, and event planning are experienced throughout Michigan.
What began as a passion for exceptional food and genuine community has evolved into a trusted, full-service catering company with two locations and more than 70 team members across the Tri-Cities and Metro Detroit. Today, the From Scratch team collaborates with premier venues across Michigan, delivering tailored culinary experiences for weddings, corporate gatherings, and events of every kind.
